Yup. Now put down yer Keyboard and grant yourself some days of rest, Carl!
Great achievements on v2.x this year!
Merry Xmas, peaceful holidays, whatever applies, to everyone on this list (and to everyone else, too...).

Hi all,
There's a user on the forum who is getting
"Failed to refresh DCPs of Library Server, the items in the DCP (Name of
DCP) isnt found un Assest Map."
when loading a VF (with just subtitles) over an OV DCP.
This seems strange. I can't see anywhere that suggests that the
*referenced* assets in a VF should be included in its ASSETMAP, and
EasyDCP Creator doesn't include them.
Does anyone have any clue about what the Sony's problem is here?
Thanks!
Carl
Hi. I have a DCP I made last week, but I need to replace the audio. Is
there a relatively fast way to replace the audio without starting over from
scratch?
I just tried making a new DCP and adding the original picture MXF as the
source, and this works, but was giving me a frame rate of 1.8 f/s on making
the new DCP. That would be about a 24 hour process and it would probably be
faster to just start over.
Thanks!

Hi. This topic has been discussed on the forum, but I was wondering if any
of you have had DCPs work on Sony gear? I tested a 4K & 2K, encrypted & non
on Sony RX320 and 515 and all failed to play on both projectors. These were
SMPTE DCPs.
Has anyone had luck on these systems?
Do you think Interop would maybe work instead?
Thanks!

There have been some recent additions to the Digital Cinema Naming convention.
The train is going towards CPL metadata, but the DCNC will be in use for quite a while I guess.
One recent addition to both DCNC and CPL Metadata is:
---
Subtitles are either generated in the theatre by the Digital Cinema projector, or are burned into the image by the studio. If the Language Code is UPPER CASE, the sub-titles are generated in real time by the projector. If the Language Code is lower case, the subtitles are burned into the image already.
---
Carl - what has become of my idea to put a clickable link to
http://digitalcinemanamingconvention.com/ into DOM ISDCF details GUI section (both preferences and DCP tab)?

I just registered there to find out what is going on there. I actually found our own screen there, but not some known other cinemas.
Will have to see what comes out of this once my account is fully functional. So far it seems this will be a comprehensive open FLM-x server.
Carl - I don't know if you thought about FLM-x before, in case:

Hi, Im using the latest version of DCP-o-matic and I'm experiencing freezing/long hangs at 99%. The clip I'm transcoding is 2h long and the only way I got it to work was to trim the clip to three different parts. It still freezes at 99% but if I wait 5 minutes the "computing image test" starts. I waited over 30 minutes twice when trying to transcode the whole clip.
I'm using the latest Mac version, I tried both the latest (4th of December) and the one before and both of them got the same problem.

Hi all,
Version 2.6.5 (http://dcpomatic.com/test-download) is up with an update
to v2 of OpenJPEG and with it some patches from Aaron Boxer which increase
encoding speed by around 20% (in my limited tests). If anyone has time
for tests of 2.6.5 the results would be interesting... both in terms of
encoding speed and whether the results look good.
Thanks,
Carl
