Indeed correct. I believe the display gamma is 2.6 for most projectors. I guess the most
important aspect is confirming what gamma the grading was done at. Or for that matter was
it even done in Rec. 709. So many amateur colorists grade in various color sciences
without giving any thought to how it will play downstream.

We need source and target gama. Source für rec.709 is indeed 2.2, but as DCI uses 2.6 for
display, the conversion needs to account for this. That's what is expressed in
DCP-o-matics color conversion dialog.
But of course I would also check the source file, which now probably is ProRes4444?
