Hi
Please Check :
* Can you install other Windows Software that uses similar install
processes? Maybe Test be Installing 7zip which seems to use similar
install procedures.
* Are you loged in using an windows Admin account (Needed for writing to
C:\Program Filed)
* Which Version of DCP-o-Matic are you using. Please test the
Beta/Testing Version and maybe even a older one. Just to make sure if
these are working.
* 32/64 bit ? Did you pick the correct Version of DCP-o-Matic ?
* Virus Tools: Already mentioned by C J Flynn. With the Advent of the
Ransomwares more and more Tools block normal write access to dirs
where programs can later be executed of.
* Could you make a screencast video of your install trys and make it
available?

I only use dcp-o-matic on a Mac, but I just
downloaded and installed both
64 and 32 bit versions on this little Windows 10 PC here, and they both
installed correctly.
I can’t help any further than that, but I can say that there is no obvious
reason why the basic DOM install shouldn’t work.
Do you have install privileges on this computer? Do you have a virus
checker or something like that which prevents .dll files from installing?
What version OS are you running? Is it up to date? Is there some quick
utility that you can run to make sure the software internals are not
compromised?
Good luck from Van Nuys, CA

Hello together,
sorry for taking your time. Perhaps you can answer me, if you are so
kind. Thank you very much.
We are using DCP-o-matic for a long time, exclusively till now for
making slides without audio tracks.
There were no problems. Just till now. After received error messages, we
uninstalled the whole program,
and we installed it new (site:
dcpomatic.com <http://dcpomatic.com/>).
After downloading and doing the whole procedure
(>executing>setup wizard>licence agreement>destination folder C:\Program
Files\DCP-o-matic 2>choose components)
there is a window with the error message: “Error opening file for
writing” (C:\Programfiles\DCP-o-matic2\bin\libintl-8.dll),
then the installing process doesn´t continue (Can´t write).
What´s wrong?
Perhaps there´s a little link for it, otherwise I have to instruct my
system supervisor to have a look.
Kind regards from Stuttgart.

P.S. : Is it the problem to do a registration?
