(part 1)
Hello !
I did some experimentations with
- handbrake
- ffmpeg
It seems to work with handbrake but the final DCP has two (very) short
moments where picture is «pixelised» : fading/melting between two
scenes. I have to re-check the source dvd maybe it's already there in.
With ffmpeg I tried :
ffmpeg -i file.VOB -c:a copy -c:v copy out.mpg
and it may not be enough ;-) Should I precise framerate, format, the
building of a timecode ?
For one DVD, the mpg file /as seen in DoM/ had the right duration and
framerate.
But another one had totally weird values :
125 fps instead of 25
2h22min12s11f length instead of 0h28min20s23f
→ what is strange to my eyes is when right click for properties straight
on that second mpg file, I can see correct values for framerate and
duration but DoM shows other ?
→ I manually modified in DoM and I'll test very soon the DCP.
(There is one short movie 15-30min per dvd)
(os is ubuntu 14.04 64bits)
…to be continued ;-)

(part 2)
had the time to test the DCP and there is at least one issue :
the sound is out of sync on some parts of the movie.
