I don't think DCP-o-matic's internal VOB concatenation will do
anything
more advanced than Gérald's cat command.
I'd try the MakeMKV
approach
first.
What would the Join command then do different than simply having these
VOBs in a sequence in DOM?
VOBs are chopped-up bits of a MPEG2 file without regard to packet boundaries. Join sticks
them back together, otherwise DoM expects a set of independent files with their own
headers and starting with a complete packet.
