Is there a large overhead in finding/identificating
encoding servers? I
recently dealt with a DHCP based network and the client IPs were
constantly changing. What if DVD-o-matic master had the whole network
subnet (or a suitable scope) filled in the encode server table? 'Fill
subnet from IP -to IP' option? Full subnet autodetect function?
I've had that in my mind for a while. It would be fairly simple to
autodetect servers using a broadcast, or some service-discovery protocol,
at least on the local subnet.
