One thing we'd done when we'd had to convert
from BD to DCP was made a pair of macros (flat and scope) to use the BD colourspace
(sorry, Canadian).
Hmm, but that shouldn't be necessary as DVD-o-matic transforms from REC709 to x,y,z?
I also checked the DCP with REC709 set on the Projector, that of course changed the colour
somewhat, but did not solve the brightness issue at all.
I just watched the MKV with VLC on the encoding machine, and it looks okay, so I guess the
source is not the problem. The shadow noise issue was so evident that I do not care about
playback engine or calibration issues.
Carl - what are the internal processes that the video goes through? BTW - can you document
the colour conversion matrix for REC709 and sRGB in the manual or FAQ?
