Hi Carsten,
I'm re-working that stuff a bit in the 2.0 "branch" of DCP-o-matic which
allows loading of DCPs as content. Then, there's a short-cut between
input and output which bypasses the JPEG2000 encode/decode step if it is
unnecessary.
That should open a number of possibilities. I hope to have test
versions of that branch up soon for those who are interested.
Best,
Carl

I think a lot of first time users at least will make the same mistake
(well, maybe it's a mistake in itself to create an encrypted DCP as a
first time user...). Given the time it takes to create a short or
full length feature, it would be nice if one could simply encrypt an
existing DCPs MXF files.
Waitaminute - I'll just give it a try myself ;-)
No - it doesn't work, when I create a DCP, then check the 'encrypted'
checkbox, then redo it, it runs through the J2k creation again.
Guess that's natural since it doesn't store intermedia j2c images.
Reading from the existing MXF would be one possibility.
