Hi Fred,
The master DCP-o-matic does a broadcast and awaits replies from any
clients on the subnet. This only matters for auto-discovery: you can
specify any hosts you like in the configuration.
Does that clear it up?
Best,
Carl

Hi all,
I was wondering how encoding servers are detected by main dcp-o-matic instance.
I've noticed that all machines should be on the same local network, but does this
mean L2 connected or L3 is Ok?
I.e: does main instance scan all IPs included in its subnet or detecting MAC adresses
thru ARP?
Thanks for this precision,
Fred
