Hello,
I love your program and works great with everything I’m doing for the Melbourne Film
Festival that I’m presenting all the entries.
The issue I’m having is a video that was sent in that is a ProRes/.mov video that is 7.1
sound is not automatically populating the sound channels for DCP-O-Matic. Can you help me
with this issue?
You are sending this from a WIN10 machine, don't know if you have access to a Mac. You
could also try VLC with the Information/codec window. Usually Quicktime Player 7 Pro will
nicely tell you about all aspects of Quicktime files. There is a windows version as well,
but it has recently become controversial due to some exotic security issue. Personally, I
don't mind. Carl is of course right that the ffprobe.log file should give similar
indications.
Quicktime offers many different ways to layout audio tracks. Maybe in this case the tracks
are not interleaved, but as separate streams (DOM should till manage that). Maybe what you
see is also due to a misconfiguration (DCP channel count) or display issue in DOM.
You need to set the DCP audio configuration to 12ch (7.1+HI/VI) under the DCP->Audio
tab first
