Hi Carl-
I'm not sure what's going on with the DCP-o-matic scaling
options....If I am converting a Scope source, and if I select Scope
format, the picture is too wide. (Stretched horizontally). If I
select Scope without stretch, then the picture is the right shape,
but doesn't fill the container. It's about half the size it should
be.

As Manuel suggests, is there any letterboxing / pillarboxing in your
source file?
One other issue, which might be the fault of the
source material but
I'm not sure -- I converted Star Wars Episode IV, which contains a
short segment which has subtitles. The subtitles did not come thru
on the DCP. I can't imagine why this is...you would think they'd be
hard-burned to the image, considering they need to be played with the
movie. Any idea why this might have happened? I wonder if there's a
setting in the MKV program that might affect this?
Did you tick "with subtitles" in the Subtitle tab? That would enable
the subtitles in the source if they were not burnt into the image.

Hmm, why do I find these in the DropDown Menu, instead of in
'Video' where the other scaling options are?
Partly because there isn't much space in the video panel, and partly
because these commands affect both scale and crop, so I can't see a
particuarly great place to put them in the video tab.
I'll think about it some more :)
