Can't tell you about the Butler video buffers, but the 'Writer full' messages
can be safely ignored, they tell you that DCP-o-matic needed to store some frames to disc
while encoding to put them in their intended order, it has to do with CPU performance vs.
available memory , it has no effect on the resulting DCP at all. It happens occasionally
and is no need to worry, except if your log is full of them, you'd have slower
encoding speed, probably due to a bad CPU speed/memory balance.
I could guess about the video buffers, as there were some issues with that only dealing
with preview cueing in the past that I experienced myself. As such, I'd say as it
doesn't take place during encoding, it may just affect your preview performance/GUI
responsiveness, but I'd better let Carl explain this. Which version of DCP-o-matic are
you using?

Hi all,
I just made made a DCP an got the following warnings in logfile for which I could’nt find
any explanation.
Would be very happy is some of you can help me out if these warnings affect the quality
of the final DCP and if I can assume that the DCP will be OK.
So 17 Jun 09:06:04 2018: WARNING: Butler video buffers reached 51625 frames (audio is
19808)
So 17 Jun 09:06:04 2018: WARNING: Butler video buffers reached 51625 frames (audio is
20035)
So 17 Jun 09:06:04 2018: WARNING: Butler video buffers reached 51625 frames (audio is

And I also got a lot of these messages:
Sa 16 Jun 23:05:52 2018: Writer full; pushes 2229 to disk while awaiting 1948
Sa 16 Jun 23:05:52 2018: Writer full; pushes 2230 to disk while awaiting 1948
…

Thank you in advance and have a nice day.
