Nothing against SMPTE standards, but they are not free ;-)
Maybe Wolfgang knows something, maybe dcp_inspect checks this as well?
I'm about to check 12ch on our Sony/AP20 (7.1+HI/VI), but the fact that our Sony plays
them is not a justification, of course...

Wondering wether 10/12/14ch BWF/MXF are allowed
at all...
At the moment this generates a 12 channel MXF. I'm not sure whether
that's allowed, and I can't find any reference to tell me: if anyone
knows, do speak up! :)
