Hi Igor,
Thank you for your quick response again!
I have found a topic in the forum about the problems with Dolby DSS-200.
https://dcpomatic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=965
The summary of it, that there was a openjpeg 'bug' introduced with DoM 2.11.23.
Which means, as I understand, that there was an incopatibility problem caused by encoding the jpeg2000 files in DoM.
The interesting part comes here, I used DoM 2.12.6, so it seems that the problem is still exist!
So I decided to make a Version File from the original DCP. So, first I imported the OV DCP, and the KDM which belongs to it. After that I ticked the Use's this DCP's ... as OV and make VF checkbox in the tab of the video, and added new local language audio files instead of the original English. DoM made the version file DCP, which is 4GB.
When I try to open this, it says NEEDs OV. And this is the part I don't know how to get further...
How can cinemas play this Version File DCP? I am sure, that I have to copy the OV DCP and the VF DCP to the same HDD, but that is it?
And how can the cinemas open the OV DCP without a KDM?
Thank you for your time!
Best regards,
Péter
Dear Iva, Carl, and others,
I am unable to ask screenshot, as the „bad” DCP had been already deleted, but today an other cinema has intended the same error: „not supported file format”, this cinema has the same Dolby DSS 200-3 server just in case of the other cinema and a Christie CP2210 2K projector. It seems that the Dolby DSS 200-3 server make some test before playing the DCP, and that is where my Interop DCP fails.
Do you have any experience with Dolby DSS 200-3?What kind of DCP can be played on it, made by DOM?
Thank you and best regards,Péter

Ok, let's wait for response from the cinema about the second hdd. Also could you provide some more detailed response from the cinema apart from just "the file is not appropriate video format"? We need exact text of error message. With screenshot of the error message if possible.

Hi Igor,
Via 500 GB samsung USB 3.0 HDD ext3/ext4 format.I have sent a second HDD to the cinema with the same DCP on it, to make a double check, but I have no feedback about it yet.
Best regards,Péter

HI, Péter! How did you deliver the DCP to theater? On HDD or via internet? Is it archived?

Hello Carl and other Professionals!
I have an issue with DCP-o-Matic 2.12.6.I have made a DCP, and it does not works on a DOLBY DSS 200 server & CHRISTIE CP 2230 projector. The DCP was made as an InterOp, non-encrypted, 24 FPS, Scope, 100 Mbit/sec bitrate DCP with 6 channel audio and no subtitle. It works in many cinemas, but it does not work in the mentioned one above.
I have attached the followings in .rar:
-The CLP, the assetmap, the pkl, and the volindex of the DCP which does not work-The preferences of the DCP (what setting I had in DCP-o-Matic when I made this DCP)-A screenshot about the folder of the DCP, which does not work-A screenshot from the cinema, which said that they receive the error message of something like this:"The file is not appropriate video format"
As the actual screening is very close, I have to do something really quickly.
My current plan is to import this InterOp DCP in the newest version DCP-O-Matic, and make an SMPTE version from it. Maybe SMPTE will work better than InterOp. I don't know whether it is matter that the DCP are in reels or continuous.
What do you think? Do you have a better suggestion please?Any advice is very appreciated!
Best regards,Péter
