Hi Jim
The idea is that going from 2.12.x to 2.14.x should work fine, although
those metadata.xml may be modified so that they become incompatible with
2.12.x.
I would suggest backing up these project files before upgrading. There
are no problems that I'm aware of.

yet, but would like to upgrade to 2.14.8. If I attempt to open these old
projects in DOM 2.14.8 in order to "Make DCP", should I expect any
incompatibility/problems?
Or may there be problems if I encode these old projects via command line?
dcpomatic2_cli --config /path/to/config /path/to/dom/project
