There are many many free options, as noted in other mails. Try
searching for "fan film" subtitling, or "series"
But my absolute favorite is BelleNuit subtitler, sadly you cannot
export without a license.
Prior to DCPomatic V2, the workflow was to reuse the MXF files, create
the subtitle MXF
(http://www.michaelcinquin.com/tools/DCP/DCP_subtitling), and rebuild
the DCP with OpenDCP.

I do not have EasyDCP player to decode the MXF video, so burn in doesn't seem
