Indeed; and check permissions on that disc. Indicators are that the User that you are
logged in as only has READ permission.
On a Mac you might be able to force the issue by doing a command-I (Info) on the drive,
then at the very bottom you will see who has write permission. You might also see a locked
lock.
First thing is to click on the lock to unlock it. It should ask for a password. If you can
get past that, see if you can click on the 'Read only’ Privilege of ‘everyone’ and
change that to Read & Write. Do that for every Name on the list (this isn’t great
protocol, but you need to get that DCP on the air!!!)
You can also click on the ‘+’ button and it should ask if you want to add you…whoever you
are logged in as.
Windows has similar methods, but I am not so versed.
Good luck and let us know the solution….CJ

Hi Bethany,
I would guess that whatever you are writing the DCP to (USB drive or stick) has a
problem. Can you try another?
If it's a Windows formatted stick it might be fixed by plugging it into a Windows
machine.
Kind regards

Hi Carl,
I keep getting this error message from dcp. It's the first time I've seen this
message and I've been using DCP for over a year now..
I've tried on 2 different computers. Both PC and Mac, and both are giving me the same
error message.
I'm in a bit of a crunch as I have ads that have to start playing at our theatre
before tomorrow. Any help is greatly appreciated!
