Think its 24fps source and DCP.
I think the best way to fix the audio issue is no to just try different settings, but to
analyse the sound that has been converted into the DCP. Unfortunately, 30min of 5.1 is a
bit too much to upload anywhere. One would unwrap the audio to a multichannel wave file,
load it into an editor and then check levels and possible pops/clipping.
If the source files was mastered to full range, I assume -12 to -18db would have been a
useful setting, but that depends on the content. Documentary is very different from
feature movie sound.
Did you actually use -1dB as you wrote or is that a typo? Because that sure is not enough
attentuation.
