Your disk is probably formatted in FAT32, so there is a limit of 4 GB per file. You need the disk to be in EXT2 or NTFS. ExFAT or HFS(Mac) will not work.
Also, you can try to redo the DCP using the new multireel feature, and set the reels to 3 GB each.
