Yes, PNG is part of the spec. It's used when very special characters are needed, very
'graphic' layouts, colours, etc.
would also be the OCR option to improve the rendering
of the
subs. I don't think the OCR is 100% accurate though, even with
the crappy DVD subs.
Yeah, and then it would be a nightmare to start editing OCR errors during/before the
conversion ;-)
