yup - going to prefs in DCP-o-matic main 2.14.29 (Sierra) seems to trigger the same or similar error sequence (samplingtools/debug -> wxWidgets) as seen in player 2.15.42 when trying to play - though, player 2.14.29 doesn't show these errors when playing (and not when entering prefs).
