Yes, you are right the programs are installed but the links are missing. servomatic_cli works correctly, but servomatic_gui crashes with the following:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::exception_detail::clone_impl<boost::exception_detail::error_info_injector<boost::system::system_error> >'
  what():  bind: Address already in use
Aborted

That is both on Ubuntu 13.04 and Mint 14.
