I received the files and had a look. The original files are SRT files.
When I open the chinese version in a text editor, all I get is weird
chars combinations for the text.
When I import the chinese SRT file into DOM, the preview seems to show
correct chinese.
As far as I understand, all the subtitles (including the working greek
and russian versions) have been created with Jubler.
Opening the SRT file in Jubler also displays chinese 'chars'.
The IOP DCP created from these files contains an XML file (which again,
when opened with an XML editor, shows proper chinese) and references a
font 'LiberationSans-Regular.ttf', which is included. Now, as I wrote, our Sony displays greek and
russian/cyrillic correctly,
but the chinese subtitles are not displayed at all. Except for some very
few where just a dot appears.
We should try with a font that has the required glyphs...
