I can't check this myself, but I am confident it is the same issue (XML scheme) that occurs also with Open DCP.One of the Fraunhofer people once contacted me about an issue and expressed their willing to correct issues with their easyDCP software once brought to their attention.I should probably get back to them and see how far their commitment goes.- CarstenAm 24.03.2017 um 22:18 schrieb Shanu Novic:S.N.Best regards,Thank you all for your replies once again!Thank you for your script, Wolfgang.
Today, I finally managed to install it on my machine and ran the inspection using it to find out I had no errors with my InterOP DCP I had created earlier this week.It gave me many hints related to Digital Cinema Naming Convention, but no errors.By the way, I'd like to give you a feedback on what your script might not have caught, but since I have the trial version of easyDCP player, it won't show me what the actual warning it gave me. So, unfortunately, I don't think I can help you about it.On Tue, Mar 21, 2017 at 10:35 AM, Carsten Kurz <audiovisual@t-online.de> wrote:As a side note, today I created a basic DCP with DOM 2.10.9 Mac and played it with the most current demo version of EazyDCP Player Mac. I did not get a warning and was able to play the file (as much as the demo allows). There are not many ways to create a formally screwed DCP with DCP-matic. To the extent that currently, if a software player complains about a formal issue, I'd blame the software player first. There has been a similar issue once with the Doremi Cineplayer. Yes, if in doubt, try to use dcp_inspect.- Carsten

C J,Carsten,I think that's an known issue with easyDCP Player, and I'm surprised they didn't fix it yet. I can't look up earlier posts describing the problem from here. Maybe someone else can.I was thinking that might be the case, but I could not find any recent posts about it in dcp-o-matic forums that I started to have a doubt.S.N.On Tue, Mar 21, 2017 at 12:00 AM, cjflynn@digitaltesttools.com <cjflynn@digitaltesttools.com> wrote:ShanuCould you please tell the version number of DCP-o-Matic that you used, which got that error? It could be. I guess there's no way to be sure. Someone else on the list

I just created a DCP using DCP-o-matic, but when I try to play it with easyDCP trial version, it gives me warnings.
It says "Issues have been detected. For a full report, please license the commercial edition with issue report enabled", so I don't know what the exact
issue is.
Do you think it's the XML one that's listed under FAQ on your website?
Does it always happen with DCPs created using DCP-o-matic?

Hi Shanu,I had a quick question.
What's the difference between DCP-o-matic and Davinci Resolve (without
using easyDCP plugin) in terms of how they convert source material into
jpeg2000 (XYZ color space)?
My master video is Apple Prores HQ.
Basically, I have used Davinci Resolve (without using easyDCP plugin) and
openDCP to make a DCP in the past, and I was successful, but Davinci
Resolve crashes randomly sometimes these days, so I wanted to give
DCP-o-matic a shot.
I'm afraid I don't know what Resolve does. In theory they should be
the same, since there is a pretty-well defined mathematical operation
that should be followed to convert video to XYZ.
Someone else on the list might know...I guess I can just do a test conversion with DCP-o-matic and check the
result with my eyes, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask...
That would be a good starting point, I think.
