Hi Richard,
It seems you never got an answer to this: sorry about that!
I think the most likely explanation is just that the DCP had lots of
audio headroom, so when the same audio levels were made into a ProRes
they appear quite low. Can you apply some gain to the DCP in
DCP-o-matic before exporting it?
