That would be good indeed! Just checking later like every other
automatic guessing, a lot of it in dcpomatic.
The most interesting tool for subtitles in dom for me are the
framerate conversion, already implemented, and the option to apply an
offset, never used a trim with dom and subtitles but I suspect it
works?
I'm one of those that will use an external editor for any correction.
But having already the nice window with the list... why not? Vertical
and horizontal position selection there too? with the preview can be a
killer feature ;)
Double-click a subtitle and the preview shows it.
OK ok, I stop adding requests... Right now I'm subtitling in Geneva at
the FIFDH, so I'm quite receptive to subtitling thingies.
BTW, the ASS format support is really interesting, many formatting
options available.

Alright, I can answer that myself now: DCP-o-matic put's that language code
as a tag into the resulting XML file (for Interop subtitles - and I suppose
'somwhere' in the subtitle MXF file for SMPTE DCPs):
'<Language>DE</Language>'
Also, when importing such tagged XML subtitle-files, the language code field
is populated/displayed from this tag. Wondering wether it is safe to
create/set the ISDCF name details from it directly if present?
