So my workaround with naming the DCP by hand is necessary when I create
a mono DCP. Set the channels to 6 and name it _10_.

digital silence. But DCPomatic will take care of creating the silent channels for you. You
don't have to feed digital silence audio files to it. Just set e.g. 2 or 4ch under DCP
and leave unused channels unassigned in the audio matrix.
