Hello,
I might sound weird but I really think there's no need to change
anything about thoses buttons dealing with images sequence, or slide, or
files, as it will probably add confusion.
We're dealing here with DCP so it is assumed that "images folder" is
"images-sequence-folder". What may lacks is the same logic for sound,
where "sound-folder" would be one folder containing one file per audio
track for the corresponding "image-folder". But then you could rightly
answer me that Open DCP does that job !
But those notices are very interesting : it shows that somehow
DCP-o-Matic could almost become a NLE editing tool or a kind of
/playlist-maker-into-one-DCP/… Without going so far the ability to
organize sub-folder in the display box (or timeline) might help to
associate / match image and audio contents ? And consequently the
ability to add already-done-DCP as a part of the final DCP.
That sounds like a totally other project.
I'd rather see something like a DCP-o-Matic plugin for "OpenShot Video
Editor" (or other NLE editor) allowing video rendering straight into DCP...
…well sorry what was the question ?
:-D
Best regards,
Gérald

It could be that... it could just add anything in
that directory
(video, audio, subtitles, whatever). Or we could rename it and just
make it take images (like it does now).
In that case, I would think it's better to hint at the possibility to add multiple
files with the first button, and to only add image-sequence with the second for now. As it
deals with a special placement of a frame sequence, I couldn't think of a good reason
why we would have two means to add multiple files of video, audio and subtitles, with both
buttons?
Like 'Add file(s)'... and then it becomes a little bit difficult already.
'Add image sequence' 'Add single image sequence'? More english
suggestions? Needs to fit the button size as well...
I'll take care of the german wording ;-)
