As Carsten said.
SMPTE 30 fps, and most probably DCP-o-matic already guessed the proper scale to 16:9.

The 16:9 container can be problematic in the real world. The option is even removed in the most recent versions of DCP-o-matic.
The black bars are actually a confirmation that your source file is encoded and will be projected pixel to pixel to the original.
As Carsten says, this is normal, and in many venues you wont even be able to see that black. And festival venues may even be ready for 1080 content! All kind of festivals out there...

For the sound you can try to make sure that it was mixed for cinema (-20db reference). The projectionist will be really thankful, and your film will sound exactly as you expect it to.

I would suggest you scale to 16:9/1.78, and choose a flat container. You will have some black bars left and right that way, but you will have them in anyway in typical cinemas since, even when you play a 16:9 container, the black bars will be there. No big deal. You could do a full frame scale to flat, but that will crop away some image from top and bottom.

Cinema presentation is special. Depending on the specifics of the venue your film is presented at, you will either see these issues, or not. Depends on projector type, masking, etc.
