That config.cc error means you have a corrupted DCP-o-matic configuration
file for some reason. Newer versions of DCP-o-matic would have offered to
recreate the config for you.
You could delete the config file (if you are not making encrypted DCPs
this probably won't matter too much) and DCP-o-matic will recreate it.
Here's the locations of the config file:
The two errors you saw (the config.cc and the read-only file system) are
almost certainly not related.
Kind regards,
Carl

Ok, to answer your questions...

The error message that I'm getting when I save to my computer is the exact same
message as I attached before. The programming error.
What's weird is that things have been working just fine until today...I ran an ad
last on this past Friday and everything went as usual. As far as what has changed...I
can't think of anything that would
have changed between Friday and today.

That Windows error is probably something different but I'd need to know your
DCP-o-matic version to investigate further.
Cheers

I appreciate you getting back with me so promptly.
I've never had any issues with my drives, and I've tried on 2 different
drives and keep getting the same message.
The attached message is the message I'm getting on Windows.
Also, I re-formatted both drives and still get the message. I have also tried
creating the DCP directly onto my computer (no drive) and still get this message.

Indeed; and check permissions on that disc. Indicators are that the User that you are
logged in as only has READ permission.
On a Mac you might be able to force the issue by doing a command-I (Info) on the drive,
then at the very bottom you will see who has write permission. You might also see a locked
lock.
First thing is to click on the lock to unlock it. It should ask for a password. If you
can get past that, see if you can click on the 'Read only’ Privilege of ‘everyone’ and
change that to Read &
Write. Do that for every Name on the list (this isn’t great protocol, but you need to get
that DCP on the air!!!)
You can also click on the ‘+’ button and it should ask if you want to add you…whoever you
are logged in as.
Windows has similar methods, but I am not so versed.
Good luck and let us know the solution….CJ

Hi Bethany,
I would guess that whatever you are writing the DCP to (USB drive or stick) has a
problem. Can you try another?
If it's a Windows formatted stick it might be fixed by plugging it into a Windows
machine.

Hi Carl,
I keep getting this error message from dcp. It's the first time I've seen this
message and I've been using DCP for over a year now..
I've tried on 2 different computers. Both PC and Mac, and both are giving me the same
error message.
I'm in a bit of a crunch as I have ads that have to start playing at our theatre
before tomorrow. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
