The original digital cinema specs only required 24fps in projectors,
but 25fps (and 30fps) were added later. I don't know how
many 24fps-only projectors exist in the field. In the UK, at least,
the Arts Alliance DSN systems that I have seen are ok with 25fps.
How good is DCPOMsatic at doing frame rate conversion?

is great but thought it better to ask.
DCP-o-matic doesn't really do frame rate conversion ... if you make a
24fps DCP from a 25fps source it will set the DCP up to run the audio
and video slower by a factor 24/25.
