well you can also use something like Audacity to get more precision.

You'll need first to extract the sound from your video.

Pass it through Audacity, do your settings, export it in wav 48kHz 24bits pcm a.s.o…

I would set a gain of -12dB in the "Audio" tab so that the audio in the
DCP will peak at -12dB.

You can see the levels of the audio in your source files (roughly) by
clicking "Show Audio" in the "Audio" tab.
