All my DCPs made with DCPoMATIC (over several years) have developed*
compromised sound*
(low gain, distortion when sound level increased). Commercial DCPs from
Deluxe playback with regular
sound, no problems- what has happened?

To clarify: Are you saying these DCPs used to play fine, but now
suddenly you are getting sound problems?
