Someone I know had a problem when trying to convert an iTunes music video file using
DCP-o-matic. When adding the file, the summary shows a content frame rate of 90000.0000,
that every other frame will be used, and the DCP will run at 0.133333% of the content
speed. The timing tab shows a play length of over 38 hours (this is a 3 minute music
video) and a video frame rate of 90000.0000.
I was able to duplicate this in 1.76 and 1.76.2 with an iTunes music video I have.
These files are not DRMd.
Any suggestions as to what may be the problem?

I just found the thread on film-tech and answered to it. I guess it is a misinterpretation
of the file in DCP-o-matic, which Carl will possibly be able to fix.
I am currently uploading a sample file to my dropbox for Carl to have a look at it.

Have seen similar behavior with variable framerate files. Will be
great if dcpomatic can deal with them directly. I just reexported
using quicktime pro, the only thing that opened it properly.

Hi Manuel,
That sounds like a different problem... I think I have heard reports of
bugs with variable framerate files. Do you have any reasonably-sized
ones I can get hold of to test with?

That is a bug in DCP-o-matic which should be fixed in 1.76.3, which is
currently building and will shortly be available from here:

It seems to be due to the iTunes files having two video streams (one of
which appears to be just a thumbnail) and DCP-o-matic was picking the
wrong one to use.
Let me know if you still have problems with 1.76.3.
