A dcp-o-matic user sent me a screenshot to get some advice on proper scaling options for
his project. I noticed that the german localization on his machine is screwed - his
screenshot shows english and german mixed wildly.
Any idea what could cause this? He is using Mavericks (OS X 10.10.1). Occurs with both
1.76 and 1.76.42. Second screenshot is 10.6.8 - everything okay.
Did anyone else have similiar issues with other localizations in OS X versions?
Carl - I noticed dramatically different file sizes in the various versions of DCP-o-matic
for Mac - e.g. sometimes 25Mbytes, sometimes 120MBytes. The current breed is rather small.
What's the reason for that?

Hi Carsten,
That is strange. I'm guess it's some problem with Mavericks. I
haven't personally tested it; I'm a bit afraid of screwing up by
development machine by upgrading it, but I guess I have to bite the
bullet!
It would be interesting to hear if any other people have similar
problems.
I guess the DCP-o-matic size differences are down to debugging symbols
being present or missing, but I don't know. I shall investigate.

For what it's worth: My mac dev system made it just fine through upgrades to
Mavericks and then Yosemite. Literally no issues worth noting.

is selected in prefs. Everything in English when English is selected.

Strange. I'll do some testing on different OS X version and changed language settings
next week. I may have systems at hand at a client with three different OS X versions on
them.
