After completing a DCP I am receiving an error code (-36) regarding the
.mxf file when trying to transfer the DCP to another drive. This is what it
says:
"The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in
“185_2K_3bd4865283be77b711939e805fd8429d_24_100000000_P_S_0_9152000.mxf”
can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)"
I have also attached a picture of the error message.

Does your disk have enough space? When using dcpomatic on a mac
formatted disk you need twice the space of the dcp, as the ingenious
hardlink trick does not work.
Are you copying only the finished DCP directory or the whole project?
In the second case you are copying the image file twice.

Maybe you are transferring to a FAT32 formatted drive/USB stick? That will have a limit of
2 or 4Gbytes per single file - video MXFs longer than 2-3min easily break that limit.
Typical trailers just fit.
