I remember a thread in the forum where one guy was running dcp-o-matic on a G5 PowerMac. I
was surprised it actually seemed to run on a PPC. Does anyone know exactly which OSs are
still supported? A friend just wanted to test-drive it on his video-editing G5 running
Tiger/10.4, but it didn't start. Same result on an Intel iMac running 10.5.8.
The lowest OS X version I do usually test is 10.6.8. I think the guy on the support forum
mentions 10.7 on a G5. I always thought 10.5.8 was the latest OS X version supporting PPC?

Unless the Apple compilers are doing some very dark magic that I'm not
aware of, the release version is Intel only, and built against the 10.6
SDK so I'd be a bit surprised if it ran on anything earlier.
If we have hard evidence to the contrary I will investigate :)

FAT-Binary? Remember me asking why some Mac releases were nearly three times as big as
others? I have no idea wether current tools are able to create PPC code at all.

nearly three times as big as others? I have no idea wether current tools
are able to create PPC code at all.
I looked into that and it was due to a bug in the packaging script that
failed to symlink various libraries in the .dmg and copied them instead.
The OS X build is all done with command-line stuff and clang.
