Hi newbie to Player here. I have been happily using Player in mac but I'm
working in Ubuntu 16.04 now and there is no download available...but I
heard you can build and launch Player from Terminal in Ubuntu. Any advice
on this?

Hi Joaquin,
It looks like no desktop icon is created for the player in Linux. I'll
fix that.
You should be able to start it using
dcpomatic2_player
from the terminal.

The icon would be great but it is super functional as is.
