Hi First of all: Thank you very much for your work on DCP-o-matic!!! Im trying to install a second PC (Live image ISO) to accelerate the rendering but I have difficulties: the master doesnt recognize the second PC / encoding server, although it seem so be ready by indicating Offering services to master 192.168.1.14 (which is the correct IP-address of the master) What do I do wrong? [DCP-o-matic] Rec709 vs BT1886 for DCP

Hi Carl, I have color graded a project in Resolve 12.5, color management is set to Rec.709 gamma 2.4, monitored the same on a Flanders. Taking it in to DCP-O-matic and I see the Rec.709 preset is locked at 2.2. If I change the gamma it changes the preset to BT1886. Is it safe to say this would be correct? I have seen debate as to whether BT1886 is the same as Rec709, but with a 2.4 gamma spec. I'm not an expert on this. Thanks in advance and thank you for the work you do on this software. [DCP-o-matic] lol - Raspberry PI on new GDC IMB SR-1000

There had been some discussion on this list about using Raspberry PIs for DCP making and checking. But it sure is a Raspberry PI 3B. It is probably the PI that earns this MB the 'standalone‘. No, the PI will not do the heavy (J2K) lifting et al., the MediaBlock itself is below the huge heat sink on the right side of the IMB. The PI will probably just do communications, webinterface/GUI. - Carsten

Hi John, approx one minute in 30min sounds like a 24/25fps issue. That IS usually no issue, you are free to generate a DCP with either 24 or 25 fps in both SMPTE or INTEROP format - except if you operate a Dolby DSS100/DSP100, which is not able to play 25fps. There are still quite a few DSS100/DSP100 around, so if there is a chance your DCP might end up on one of those, you should also create a 24fps version. [DCP-o-matic] DCP issue

Hi, I am using DCP -o - matic to create a DCP from a video file that runs 30 minutes. In the authoring process it is adding an extra minute of black at the end. As this is part of a scheduled show it is causing problems with the timing of what comes afterwards as well as causing our projectionists to think that there has been some sort of failure! Would you know what is causing this and how I might solve the problem? I look forward to hearing from you.
