I have doremi servers that load my content no issue.
I have one GDC sx3000 that I can't get it to load content at all. Any ideas
or suggestions on what I need to do?

It should be ‚Ajouter‘ in your french GUI. You need to select multiple VOBs and use ‚Ajouter‘, or 'Join‘ in the english version.
Another software I regularly used for fixing stream inconsistencies is MPEG-Streamclip.

I'm testing 2.11.10 under Ubuntu 14.04
Most of the time having this error at the very end of hashes and all.
I get all the MXF but no XML.
Error: Programming error at ../src/lib/reelwriter.cc:403
Anyone else?

I have found some 3D clips that are 3D and have two panes of view, Left eye and Right eye. I have not successfully converted one of these yet. The file format is .m2ts like this one, https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.php?id=67931465 <https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.php?id=67931465>

I tried it and it seems the file is no problem (3d-lg-sports-highlight-(www.demolandia.net).m2ts)
- Create a new project
- add m2TS file
- under Content ->Video, choose ‚3D left/right‘
If you play preview already now, you should see the image stretched properly in the preview area, and while playing, you see a ‚jittering image‘, L and R plays frame consecutive.
Now, under DCP make a checkbox at ‚Video‘ - ‚3D'
The Left Eye/Right Eye selector will then become active below the preview image, and you can switch between left eye only and right eye only for preview. And the jitter goes away. Then hit ‚Make DCP‘.
So, in short words - you need to tell DCP-o-matic which 3D format your source is, and tell DCP-o-matic you actually want to create a 3D DCP.

That appears to be a side-by-side 3D clip - left and right in one image. I assume you made yourself familiar with these types? You have to configure the proper content 3D type so DCO-o-matic knows where to look for the left and right side images in your content.
I’ll try this one and see wether it works for me...

I am not an expert on 2D-3D depth conversion, but from what I know, the material in that specific THX trailer wouldn’t work with automatic/software based conversions, as there are simply not enough distinct shapes/features in it to use for that sort of conversion (aside from the THX logo at the end).
I don’t know if THX ever offered native 3D versions of these trailers.

Hi Craig,
this is not a 3D source file, but 2D. As such, DCP-o-matic can not create a 3D DCP from it. It can not do depth-conversion from 2D to 3D.
It can of course do a ‚flat‘ conversion, that is, create a 3D DCP that looks like 2D (L and R eye identical). But that makes no sense usually as most projection systems can play 2D and 3D content mixed anyway (doing the same thing, duplicating L/R on the fly during playout to keep the whole playlist in 3D mode).

Hi Carl,
I recently downloaded your DCP-O-Matic program and had success making 2D
DCP files, however, I am getting a Error 114 when attempting to make a
3D version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Carl,
I hope you're well.
I did email you a while ago regarding encrypted DCPs but I've hit a new unrelated wall I'm hoping you can help with.
So I'm hoping to rip this crappy 30fps NTSC DVD that's 1:66:1 "floating" in a 16:9 container. I've done all the zoom ups, re-sized and re-edited the subs and my master MOV file is free of deinterlacing errors. I'm very happy with it....well, as happy as you can be from such a crappy source :-/
But here's the very weird thing. DCP'ing "creates" visible deinterlacing errors?? Ones not present (or atleast visible on the master file) but very pronounced on the DCP. [cid:image003.jpg@01D2DC72.F21C9E70]
I suspect it's picking up on imperfections in the image?? Never had this with DCP O'Matic before, it usually does the opposite and removes the imperfections??
The obvious suggestion is to re-encode using one of your de-interlacing filters...the trouble is that's what you're looking at above, the second pass with the first filter enabled :( All it seemed to do was smear the image.
Do you have any advice with this? I don't want to keep doing multiple passes and hit the same issues as sadly the film is feature length with no other masters available :(
Huge thanks as always. Feel free to add the Institute of Contemporary Arts in the UK to your impressive roster of clients. We're on the Mall, so you're (rightly) a stone's throw away from royalty now and deservedly so :)
Thanks again!
