Hi all,
DVD-o-matic version 0.56 is now available from
http://carlh.net/software/dvdomatic/download.php
The changes in this version are:
* 64-bit Windows build provided which should help
with crashes on using lots of encoding threads on
64-bit machines.
* Basic support for DVD and Blu-Ray subtitles; they
can be burnt into the DCP at configurable size and
position.
* Support for DCI naming of DCPs.
* Allow selection of one of multiple audio streams
in source material.
* Various fixes for audio/video sync with some source
files.
* Fixes for problems with source files of varying pixel
format.
* Fix bugs with handling of YUV422-format source files.
* Remove option to black out trims at the end of DCPs;
replace it with options to trim both start and end of
DCPs.
If you have any problems or comments, feel free to email me
directly on cth(a)carlh.net or contact the mailing list using
dvdomatic(a)carlh.net.

Hi all,
DVD-o-matic version 0.55 is now available from
http://carlh.net/software/dvdomatic/download.php
This version fixes a few bugs:
* randomly occurring blank thumbnails
* problems with obtaining frame rate of WMV files (thanks to Anders
Nordentoft-Madsen for the report)
* problems when using a limited DCP range (thanks to Wolfgang Woehl for
the report)
It also makes it easier to generate still-image DCPs without stretching
the images.

Hi all,
DVD-o-matic version 0.51 is now available from
http://carlh.net/software/dvdomatic/download.php
Changes:
* File -> Properties opens a simple dialog with some information about how
much disk space an encode will need, and how much of it has already been
completed.
* The DVD-o-matic encode server is included in the windows build, and
there is a very basic GUI version of it.
* Some fixes to the behaviour of the configuration dialog on windows.
* Crop is correctly set up in the viewer when re-loading a film.
* Progress reporting for encodes should be better.

Carl, list, hi.
Great tool.
Here's a dcp_inspect run over a test package just made with the windows 0.48 version:
https://raw.github.com/gist/3733790/6385d5f051cad403e9c03c37772341879e4f5d7…
IssueDate needs to be set to a datetime string. Goes for AssetMap, CompositionPlaylist and PackingList.
Wolfgang
ps: When Carl joined Ardour development for me as an observer it felt great that someone qualified would just step up and start helping fix stuff and building features. Before that there was always this little fear in the back of my mind that one day Paul might just throw his hands up because of the enormity and ambition of the project. Kudos.
Hi all,
DVD-o-matic version 0.49 is now available from
http://carlh.net/software/dvdomatic/download.php
The only change is that IssueDate timestamps should now correctly be
written on Windows.
