If you only want a very basic LMS (Library) just install an ftp server
(filezilla), some people use a network disk with ftp access. You will
be able to see it as an ingest server from your projection servers.
If you are talking about a TMS (Theater Management System),
automatically creating playlists, schedule, etc. that's another
history, and I can be interested. I have been considering starting my
own, as I couldn't find enough information about the available options
out there.

Was wondering if it was possible to build a DIY open
sources LMS.
Also not entirely sure exactly what a LMS is/how it works, anyone got any
good links to an overview/primer.
Hope people don't mind me posting this here, it is for use with a DCP server
and my googeling keeps on returning info about Learning Management
Systems;(.
Probably best to reply off list.
